About Us

We believe that all pupils should be given the opportunity to achieve their best and develop their talent as individuals in a supportive and friendly environment.

Each teacher at Freesoles has their own specialism and passion for dance. Between us we have a huge variety of professional dance training and performance experience which means we can pass this on to you!

High quality teaching is vital to the safe and smooth running of the school, so we ensure that all of our teachers are qualified, DBS checked with full safeguarding and first aid training, and take on continued professional development wherever available.

Meet the Teachers

Our Talented Team

At Freesoles Dance, we take pride in our diverse and skilled team. Each of our teachers brings a unique background in Dance, ranging from Ballet and Ballroom, to Contemporary and Performance. All teaching staff hold Bachelor's Degrees in Dance and are certified by at least one international Dance awarding body.  Additionally, we ensure the highest standards of safety and care, with all staff undergoing DBS checks, regular safeguarding, and first aid training. This blend of knowledge, passion and dedication sets our teachers apart, and guarantees your child is in very good hands.

She completed all of her dance examinations with the IDTA and advanced her training by taking RAD ballet examinations in Intermediate Foundation and Intermediate, both with distinction. Kathryn returns to us after many years away, bringing over fifteen years of experience in teaching dance to both children and adults across various dance styles. She is thrilled to share her passion for dance with the students at Freesoles while also taking on the role of our new Administrative Manager.

Kathryn's professional journey includes Contemporary Dance training with the Northern School of Contemporary Dance and Ballet training with Northern Ballet. She has also performed alongside Phoenix Dance Theatre for ITV productions. She has graced the stage many times at Hull New Theatre and Her Majesty's Theatre in London, and has participated in numerous local and national dance competitions. When she's not dancing in the studio, Kathryn dedicates her time to teaching, with a decade of experience educating little people in EYFS and KS1. Her diverse background and infectious enthusiasm make her a valuable addition to our team.

Freesoles Dance Values

The ABC of Freesoles. We want all of our students to feel empowered, proud, and confident, and most importantly, to enjoy their time with us here at Freesoles Dance.

Pupils at Freesoles Dance are in control of their dance journey. Dancers are welcome to choose their favourite classes, develop their own style, and be themselves. We will match this with expert tuition and care in whichever dance styles you choose.

Friendship and community are at the heart of everything we do. Freesoles Dance is a community school that values each pupil and the social and performance opportunities dance creates.

We want all of our dancers to achieve their goals, and recognise their skills and abilities with pride. No matter your background or experience, our teachers will meet you where you are, and help you to fulfil your potential in a supportive environment.
